Lenient gun laws – protection of home?

Shock over US killing of German teen http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-27243115

This is excessive. Is it necessary to kill over property? Necessary to take a life without first warning the other party to desist? It would appear lawmakers in Montana valued property over life. This here is an example of a blatant disregard of human life. While it would be logical and reasonable to shoot an intruder who is threatening, this couple here is baiting another and the teenager had not been a threat to the homeowner at any rate. I find his behaviour repulsive and response even more.

Cold blooded murder

Karzai condemns ‘deadly US strike’ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25143944

Is the death of an innocent little child and the injuring of two women acceptable in the war again terrorism? If so, it brings to mind the words of Stalin: one death is a tragedy, a million a statistic.
The quote may not be totally accurate, but the sentiment is there.
A dead civilian is not just a casualty, it is the loss of a promising life if only both sides will just calm down and talk instead of behaving like savages that know only to settle things through brute force!
